Anoka Riverfront Vision  City of Anoka, MN

Role:  Lead Urban Designer, Project Manager and Illustrator.

While with Kimley-Horn, Geoff provided urban design services to assist the City with defining the potential for reclaiming the Rum River Corridor as the crown jewel of their open space system and an amenity to attract and retain residents and businesses to the City.  The design transforms the corridor into an exciting gateway to the city by removing strategic buildings and improving the open space system to ultimately include a looped interpretive promenade and trail system connecting both sides of the Rum River corridor from the confluence with the Mississippi River through Downtown Anoka. The plan illustrates proposed improvements as well as potential funding sources to inform planning, budgeting, and phasing decisions.
